REGISTRATION

Our goal is for all students to have a positive learning experience where they feel comfortable and enjoy being on the water.  We are focused on safety and providing each student and class with proper supervision

Please estimate your student’s skill level with care.  Refunds will not be granted for students who cannot be reassigned to other classes due to capacity or scheduling conflicts.  Refunds will not be given for students who need to be reassigned due to insufficient skill for a specific class.

Students will benefit most from the programs by registering for a minimum of four weeks or the full eight weeks.  For Learn-to-Sail Widgeons and Learn-to-Sail Optimists, we strongly recommend at least two consecutive weeks of enrollment.  We are unable to provide refunds for missed classes or classes canceled once our season starts.  Please refer to the “Policies to Know” section on the Important Information tab for additional refund details.

Full payment and electronically signed medical and indemnification forms are necessary for the registration to be considered final.  We are unable to reserve space for a student until all forms and payment are received electronically.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with key Buzzards Sailing School (BSS) policies that relate to registration and refunds, equipment, and drones. You will be asked to affirm and accept some of these policies as part of the registration process.  Refer to Policies to Know.

While BSS will provide information and guidance on how to register for any sponsored regatta, registration fees are not covered by BSS. Students and parents are responsible for paying any regatta fees directly. Parents or guardians must also travel with their racing students to all regattas. Please refer to our calendar to see dates for the 2019 sponsored regattas.

Scholarships: Buzzards Sailing School (BSS) awards several local children, who would not otherwise be able to afford to sail in the program, a one-week scholarship.  They are available on a need-based, first-come-first-served basis. BSS will choose the weeks offered based upon enrollment figures and, if necessary, lend life jackets to recipients.
